Scope of work For RFR - Structural analysis
The 140m long footbridge was part of an urban competition for the reanimation of the water canal in the north eastern suburbs of Lyon. After various studies of different typologies, the cable-stayed bridge has been selected as the most adapted solution to the boundary conditions of the site. Access for the erection was only possible from the left embankment, while the right embankment has only very little load bearing capacity. The width of the 40cm thin concrete deck is adapted to the axial forces and architectural demands and the steel pylon has been designed as light as possible.
